Mill Performance and Evaluation

The below series of test for mill optimization are required to operate the system at the productive rate without having to cause harm on the internals of the mill. In order to quantify mill performance, ElenTech Resources uses specialised type of equipment that allows the measurement of individual burner line airflows and extraction of isokinetic coal samples from each pipe.

ElenTech Resources provide execution of the tests according to the requirements of the client but not limited to the following:

Fan Flue Gas/Air Flow Measurements

Air flows through the boiler to the stack as a flue gas post combustion is required to be at optimum level to avoid over working one system over another and to compensate for required operating conditions as per FFFR requirements. We test each system to determine the K-factor to correlate integrated differential pressures to the conditions of guarantee. Fans can be tested on the suction box and on the tapered part to check its handling capacity.

Bulk Material Handling
Weigher and integrators are a critical component of the conveyor belt in accounting the coal sent or received for accuracy. We calibrate for zero span and for proper coal carrying conditions. The troubleshooting of the weigher includes replacement of the load cells and signal cables.

The CEGRIT (Iso-kinetic-Automatic-Fly ash- Sampler) has application wherever dust samples are to be extracted from the flue gases as it will sample in the same rate as the fluid is flowing. This system is isokinetic for representative sampling in any situation where there is a suction higher than 250 Pa in coal fired boilers. The instrument is mainly used for carbon determination in fly-ash enabling a valuable check to be made on combustion efficiency. Our samplers come with SS sampling jars for which they can resist damage on the screwing part. We design, manufacture, and give installation and setting for correct sampling. We offer free support for period of six months after installation.

 

S–Type pitot probe

This pitot probe is manufactured using material that is non-reactive with the gas sample and have a sufficient length to obtain a representative sample. The gas sampling probe is made up of a stainless-steel tube with a hand grip and an internal K-type thermocouple for measuring the gas temperature, continuous measurements of up to 500°C. The gas temperature is measured by means of a thermocouple inserted in the tip of the probe. The thermocouple is connected to the instrument via a compensated probe housed in a special seating in the inside of the pitot probe. Special test probes are designed as per area of use like testing static pressures around the impeller on both stages for performance test.
